About Martina

My Story

You can call me Tina,

I have spent many days and nights learning and researching the makeup of food and "food".  I am certified in nutritional therapy and I'm a mother to 4 little ones.  I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) back in 2005 when I was 22 years old, I had already been diagnosed with alopecia, and I was overweight, completely unhealthy, emotionally and physically.  I was exhausted all the time and felt hopeless.  When I decided it was time to fulfill that next milestone in life which was to have children I had no clue that this was when I would face the most difficult obstacles due to this illness which was infertility.  I did not read much up on PCOS at the time and was more concerned with the aesthetics until this affected my ability to conceive and would then later interfere with my social and professional life.  Today, I have four beautiful healthy children, acne is something I deal with maybe twice a year, hair loss has decreased significantly, and I am at a healthy weight with a healthy BMI.  Today I am most happy when I am playing with my children while keeping fit and I continue to stay motivated when I get positive feedback from the people I have helped.  I took the first step to make some healthy changes and refuse to ever look back. This has been and continues to be my journey, every day I implement my extensive knowledge of natural foods and supplements into my daily life and want to help you to do the same.

I received my Nutritional Therapist certification from the The Health Sciences Academy in 2015, my diploma in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from the The Shaw Academy in 2016, and my Personal Trainer certification from City American Health in 2017.
